Consultant and Facilitator roles – Gawler & Barossa

Do you see possibilities for people living with disabilities in your community to have more genuine inclusion?

Community Living Project is looking to recruit and train 2 or more specialist facilitators and consultants in the Gawler and Barossa region in 2 distinct roles:

  • Micro Enterprise consultant – to oversee the process of small business and career creation specific to the skills, passions and strengths of the person.
  • Circles of Support facilitator – to help build a strong network of informal supports to look out for the person and help them live a good life now, and to safeguard their future.

A suitable background for the roles may include workplace or community leadership. Prior experience or qualifications in a disability field are not required. Knowledge and values from lived experience of disability and inclusion will be highly regarded.

You would receive thorough orientation, role training and ongoing support to undertake the role and uphold Community Living Project’s high values and expectations for people with disabilities to have relationships, competencies and highly valued roles in their community.

We are interested in hearing from anyone who has a match in skills and values, and is available for work that would start with a casual contract for a few hours per week, with the expectation that it would increase in the future. The work would be done flexibly from a home-based office and meeting with people in their homes and community. You must have a vehicle to use for work purposes, and have or be prepared to get a DHS clearance.

Please send your expressions of interest to [email protected] with the subject line: Expression of Interest, and let us know more about yourself and how you might be suited to be either a Circle of Support Facilitator or Micro Enterprise Consultant.
