Michaela Banks is an accomplished and values-led executive with more than 20 years of leadership experience across the disability, media, and entertainment sectors. Currently Executive Manager at B-HART, she leads initiatives that embed human rights and social innovation into practice, driving systemic improvement and inclusion across the disability sector. Recognised for her strategic vision and collaborative leadership, Michaela builds high-performing teams and delivers measurable impact for individuals and communities.
Michaela holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of South Australia and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).
As the mother of a child living with disability, Michaela brings lived experience, empathy, and purpose to her leadership. She is passionate about building inclusive, connected communities where every person is supported to live a valued life on their own terms. Her work with the Community Living Project reflects her deep belief in human-centred practice, authentic relationships, and the transformative power of inclusion.
