Casual Support Workers – Adelaide City

Are you a positive person who will do what it takes to get to know and appreciate the person you are working with? Do you get excited by supporting others to reach their life goals?

I am a young woman in my mid 20’s who lives independently in my own home in the hub of the city.

I am seeking people who are excited by the opportunity to learn how to work with me and become part of a vital, committed, skilled and passionate group of workers to support me to live the life I choose. The group of workers I am bringing together will be guided, directed and trained by myself and my family.

I always make the most out of life and love to experience new things. I have a keen eye for fashion, am a lover of craft beer, an experienced traveller, passionate mentor, and an interested in the arts from audio books to theatre. I would love to share these interests and passions with the right people who are a suitable match for this role.

The role involves assisting me with my personal care – ideally someone who can style my hair, especially braids, and apply makeup. You must be willing to provide support when needed including assistance with household duties, food preparation, coordinating my appointments and transport and liaising with my family relating to my support.

The role requires flexibility and availability with the opportunity of 6-10 hours in my weekly schedule with support in the mornings and/or the early evenings. Additional hours and responsibility may be available once we have established trust and a rhythm of working together.

A current NDIS worker check, Manual Handling, Medication management and a First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain are also a requirement of the role.

If you think you could be a good fit for this role, please get in touch and tell us more about yourself.

It is a requirement that the worker in this support role needs to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination prior to commencement.
