A Circle of Support is a group of people who are intentionally invited to come together in friendship and support of a person who has a disability, for the purposes of protecting the person’s interests into the future.
Circles of Support are underpinned by principles of inclusion.
What to expect
This presentation is open to all and will explore:
• what a Circle of Support is and is not
• why a Circle of Support can be important
• how freely given relationships can provide safeguarding in the lives of vulnerable people
• real stories about Circles of Support bringing about change in people’s lives
The Introducing Circles of Support Project has been funded by a 2-year grant from the Norman H Johns Trust through the Perpetual 2020 IMPACT Philanthropy Application Program (IPAP).
