Wellbeing and community engagement support in Seaford – up to 13 hours a week

An opportunity to assist me to thrive in my own home and community and live a good life.

I am a gentle, down-to-earth man in my 50s living in the Seaford area. I am a huge sports fan! Especially AFL, SANFL, Soccer, and Cricket – I live and breathe it. I enjoy connecting with people and cherish time with my family, and if I’m not cheering for my teams, I’ll be on my way to a local nook for a cappuccino.

I am looking for a wing person to support me in keeping my home neat, pop down to the shops, and help me stay on top of eating healthy meals and manage crucial medication.  The role includes assisting me to recognise and seize opportunities to extend my interests, grow and maintain community connections.

The right person will have the ability to engage with me, be non-judgemental, empathetic, and have a great sense of humour. It’s crucial that they can go at my pace and support me to reframe and manage living with chronic pain in everyday life.

The role has the potential to grow across a 7-day roster, with both AM and PM shifts. Currently, I’m seeking support on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday: 7:00 am to 10:00 am, and every evening (7 days a week) from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

If you’re passionate about making genuine connections and a positive difference in the local community, as well as supporting independence and living the best life possible, we’d love to hear from you!

Applications close on January 31st however I will recruit before then if I find the right person.

All applicants must have or willingness to obtain:

  • Driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
